Our Specialty Solutions:
EPOXIES
- Epoxy Ballast Tank Polyamide Epoxy Gloss Coating (MIL-23236)
This two-component, high-gloss epoxy offers excellent impact and abrasion protection, plus exceptional acid and alkali resistance.
Recommended usage: ballast tanks of ships and submarines, metal, masonry, plaster, drywall on interior or exterior surfaces, machinery, storage tanks, equipment, structural and support steel, poured concrete, block walls, and high-abuse floors, food-processing plants, water- and waste-treatment plants, power-generating plants, pulp and paper mills, chemical and fertilizer plants, and marine and immersion service. Available color: Tintable White. Federal Specifications Generic Equivalent: MIL-23236.
- Epoxy Marine Bottom Paint (MIL-DTL-24441)
A two-component, semi-gloss epoxy paint offering excellent water resistance which may be used above the waterline both for interior and exterior surfaces. The dried film withstands the detrimental effects of immersion in seawater and forms a tough, dense, waterproof film that serves as a bottom coat (below-the-waterline) paint.
Recommended usage: marine immersion service (as well as a maintenance coating), food-processing plants, water- and waste-treatment plants, power-generating plants, pulp and paper mills, chemical and fertilizer plants, metal, masonry, plaster, or drywall on interior or exterior surfaces, machinery, storage tanks, equipment, structural and support steel, poured concrete, block walls, high-traffic floors, aisles, ramps, and stairs. Available color: Tintable White. Federal Specifications Generic Equivalent: MIL-DTL-24441.
- Waterbase Epoxy Ballast Tank Coating
This two-component, water-based, corrosion-resistant polyamide epoxy offers excellent corrosion, impact and abrasion resistance, plus good acid and alkali resistance.
Recommended Usage: metal, masonry, plaster, or drywall on interior or exterior surfaces, achinery, storage tanks, equipment, structural and support steel, poured concrete, block walls, high abuse floors, food-processing plants, water and waste treatment plants, power generating plants, pulp and paper mills, chemical and fertilizer plants, and marine and immersion service. Available color: Tintable White.
ENAMELS
- Interior And Exterior White Enamel (MIL-E-1115D)
Designed for interior and exterior shipboard use, this high-gloss, safflower alkyd enamel has superior gloss and color retention when compared to conventional alkyds on exterior exposures. When used according to label and system directions, this premium-quality coating provides superior rust-inhibition and dries to a mirror-like finish. Provides for years of durability and is suitable for both interior surfaces and areas exposed to UV light.
Recommended usage: metal, wood machinery, equipment, doors, marine exposures (above water), piping, storage tanks, floors, fences, general maintenance painting, metal buildings. Available color: Tintable White. Federal Specifications Generic Equivalent: MIL-E-1115D.
- Fast Dry Container Paint
This rapid-dry, gloss enamel is formulated for interior or exterior use on surfaces requiring a coating that dries to the touch in 15 minutes. This product permits equipment to be coated while it is being repaired, eliminating additional down time to allow paint to dry.
Recommended usage: Shipping containers, equipment, metal doors and cabinets, walls and dadoes, machinery, tanks and drums, structural steel, metal roof decks and open bar joists, catwalks, railings, and piping. Available in custom tinted colors.
CALCIUM SULFONATE
- UniSac Coating
This low VOC, non-toxic, single-component, surface-tolerant, penetrating corrosion-preventive coating is designed as a special primer for areas that are difficult to reach and therefore subject to inadequate surface preparation.
Recommended usage: joints, overlaps and bolted areas, new steel or previously galvanized or painted surfaces, bridges, overpasses, parking garages, storage tanks, metal buildings, railroad bridges and stations. Available color: Tintable White.
RUST-REFORMER
- Rust-Converto
A translucent, off-white coating which dries to a durable black matte finish when applied to rusted surfaces, and remains off-white when applied over non-rusted metal or other coatings. A suitable topcoat may be applied for decorative purposes or maximum protection in highly corrosive environments. Rust-Converto™ may be sanded with fine or medium grade sandpaper after it has been left to dry for 24 hours or more.

UniGuard Coat (Glass Resin Base)
Our latest creation, UniGuard Coat, caters specifically to the shipping industry. This heavy-duty product offers outstanding protection to hulls, which are often exposed to the destructive effects of barnacle growth. What UniGuard Coat does is that it uses glass platelet technology to create a tough coating which forms with the substrate of the treated surfaces to become impervious to corrosive elements. The result is a more efficient hull, which translates to substantial fuel savings.
A Stable Multi-Layer Barrier
A barrier is formed by approximately 400 layers of glass platelets in UniGuard Coat within a resin matrix which lies parallel to the surface to be treated. This makes the product impervious and prevents the entry or permeation of corrosive elements, liquid or gaseous.
UniGuard Coat forms a positive bond with the substrate of the protected structure which in turn contributes to its long-lasting benefits and outstanding performance. Even when mechanically damaged, UniGuard Coat will not undercut and peel off like some coatings.
One System, Multiple Applications
This is a heavy-duty product which can be applied on properly prepared steel and GRP surfaces. These surfaces must not be primed prior to application. The coating has excellent durability, even in the harsh conditions of seawater, and is totally resistant to the destructive forces of barnacle growth.
Durability
Even the most highly abrasion-resistant materials can be eroded by corrosion caused by saltwater. Because of its properties, UniGuard Coat is an outstanding protection against corrosion, abrasion and other physical damage in the underwater environment. Its protective capabilities are far superior to those of conventional paints or other coatings with smaller platelets and not so resilient resins.
Recommended Usage: Hulls, decks, ballast tanks, rudders & propellers, glass fiber boats.
